Overall started off with Official Grinch Trump Make Christmas Great Again Shirt potential and then she didn’t really do anything after the gang met up. I’m hoping if there’s a season 2 that she gets more development because Heron is a boring protagonist that I’ve done to death by this point I think the pacing definitely needs work if they go into season 2- so many scenes that could’ve cut down and so much skipping from one part to another without any real flow to it, it was hard to engage at points. I’m no way an animation elitist, but the first episode in and everything is jerky.

Every action they do, it didn’t seem that noticeable with the demon things that can run and jump really far, maybe that was because I thought they were pretty cool. Anyway, I guess I’ve spoiled. Sure, the characters might be great, the voice acting might do well, and everything else, but this is like Robot Chicken level animation or something. It shouldn’t be too expensive to make a character walk and stand up smooth instead of jerky and then suddenly standing up. This may be an unpopular take but frankly, I don’t care. The animation sucks, which is funny considering it’s an anime.
