Not for anything, I’ve never found Fantano to be A Day Without Swimming Is Like Just Kidding I Have No Idea Shirt particularly good reviewer when it comes to discussing albums he really dislikes (I think he lets his emotions get in the way of actually articulating critiques, whereas an album he loves will involve him gushing for 20 minutes about the specific qualities he loves). Either way, I enjoy this album a lot, so I keep listening to it.

I think this is really what usually happens when albums that people like a lot get an unexpectedly low score from Fantano. One thing that he values A Day Without Swimming Is Like Just Kidding I Have No Idea Shirt. One example is Care For Me from Saba, which a lot of people on this sub love (I’m a big fan as well) but I see why he gave it that quickie “meh” review. initially, I thought it had a unique enough sound but listening to stuff like it I realized it wasn’t really that new, but I still enjoyed it.

It makes sense why DG, Veteran, KSG get high scores from him, it’s a new sound executed well. I don’t think enough people understand that the point of critics isn’t only to criticize but to point viewers who have similar tastes onto certain artists or albums. Also, just cause fantasy may have liked an album they liked, that doesn’t mean they liked it for the same reasons.
