I went back to school in my 30s and graduated with my BA and then successfully managed a career change that essentially doubled my income. Not saying you should just sit on your ass forever and not help out, but if you’re paying your share of rent and helping around the house or if you have kids and your parents help to watch them while you go to work, all of that is fine.

Lost my job. Chronic pain. I’m thankful for my mom and dad. It makes no sense to move out at 18 just so you can live paycheck to. Paycheck and probably end up moving back in with your parents anyway.
