The official end of slavery. Texas was the last state to Official Juneteenth Flag Shirt abolish it June 19 so it’s the unofficial July 4th for black people. Never really celebrated(bbq or anything) but my mom made me read and understand the importance of the day. I haven’t celebrated that shit for about 10 years. In fact every year on FB I post Frederick Douglass’ speech. I had no idea it was a day until my company celebrated it. They funded a barbecue and stuff and had a few speakers, it was pretty interesting. I’m not entirely sure but I believe slavery was officially ended? It really should be celebrated yearly like the fourth of July.

I never celebrated July 4th really just enjoyed the day off. But Juneteenth was a bigger celebration for my family mainly because it was my mom’s birthday. Day drinking and sloppy wandering streets in Official Juneteenth Flag Shirt stupid flag clothing. Nothing to celebrate about having to maneuver through that. But in June, my family BBQs and we have corny family games. It’s a very Brady bunch, but at least we’re not sloppy drunk in public streets XD. Haven’t celebrated the 4th of July in years. The country is built off of hate and injustice. “With liberty and justice for all” is something they wanted us to recite all through school when neither of Official Juneteenth Flag Shirt those are true. When every minority is oppressed, there is no liberty. When there are 3 cops still not charged, but they’d rather arrest the people who think it is wrong, there is no justice. I’m having an embryo transfer and my husband and I are celebrating our 3rd anniversary on Juneteenth. I’m prepared to turn up in moderation!
