It was incredibly windy on Cape Cod but I still hoofed it out there with 4 kids. The temperature was lovely but my littlest could barely stay upright in the wind lol. I’m sorry no one showed at your door. It is a good opportunity to meet the neighbors. I’m glad you still had fun. It’s my favorite part, I don’t care what happens to them, I just do it for my own enjoyment and occasionally as friendly competition within the house. My sister in law will not be outdone in that regard. Every year more elaborate tools, etc. This year she painted her pumpkin and added rhinestones. Good fun. Sounds like it, if my idea of doing a pumpkin carving competition on Reddit kicks off I’d be excited to see what she creates!

I feel your pain. I put up decorations, skipped my night class, and Official Jack Skeleton Piss Me Off I Will Slap You So Hard Even Google Won’t Be Able To Find You Shirt made a last-minute costume, I waited for the kiddies to come but no one came. It made me depressed so I got drunk and ate a whole pizza. Fml. I think a lot of people did the same! Spent days building props decorating the house, full-on graveyard, zombie pit, etc. Bought two giant bowls of candy and added some king-size bars.
