The hard part is, the youngest students, let’s say K-2 or 3, how do you do online schooling for them? A lot of teachers I talk to think the youngest ones are going to need more guidance and support directly. I couldn’t imagine being a parent and plopping my kid down in front of a device for kindergarten, and then having to intervene to help them over and over because they haven’t a clue what to do. As a parent of a first-grader, second-grader, and a fourth-grader: it’s incredibly difficult.

My kids had so many zoom calls and I Wonder What Life Would Be Like If We Weren’t So Fabulous January Girls Are Perfect Lady Shirt different assignments/videos/websites. They could not do their work independently. Maybe if I was at home it would have been much better, but my husband and I have been working full time through the quarantine. I don’t know that I’m comfortable sending my kids to school come September, but I know they won’t get anywhere near the level of education and attention if we go remote again. It’s really a no-win situation. It is absolutely a no-win situation. As a teacher who did tutoring sessions via Zoom was passable, but it’s nowhere near the same as working in person. The middle and high school students can handle it, but the elementary school students are struggling with what I see.
