My 13 yo needed this for the last day of school. I bought a men’s small and it fit him great. However if you are really looking for a men’s small, this is smaller than most. It should’ve fit him a little big. I won’t be able to dry it. Good quality shirt though! He was happy so I’m happy.

Exactly as I remember. As a tall fairly slim person It’s hard to find T-shirts that are long enough but not wide. American Apparel shirts are the perfect fit, soft and comfortable.

I loved the feel of this fabric. Very soft against your skin. It is a slim fit shirt, so if you are planning on drying you may want to order a size up to counteract shrinkage. I ordered Large and I usually fall between Large/XL so there will be no drying in the machine in their future. My biggest complaint is the tag, it’s laid on the side and the longways sticks out. So I instantly took some scissors and fixed that. Had the shirts been tagless, it’d have been 5-Star Reviewed!

The material is quite soft on the skin. It fits nice and snug, the arms are a just past the mid bicep in length, and the torso is a little longer than the average T. The shoulders on the Medium fit a little more like a small, but everything else is well proportioned. Out of the two shirts I received, one of them had a 1.5″ opening where a seam came apart on the top of the shoulder. This was disappointing as I had literally just opened the bag and hadn’t even tried it on, but as these aren’t pure AA products, I can be forgiving since the shirt proportions and fit mostly represent the AA of old.

So far this are the best shirts I’ve ordered off of Amazon. I’ve ordered a lot of shirts off of here. They fit really good. The neck is nice. The length is actually long enough. I’m only 5’7 and I have a hard time finding shirts that the length is just a little longer than what is recommended for my height. They’re not to loose or to tight just right. I weigh around 170. I have a little bit of a stomach. The shirt covers it pretty good. I will be ordering more of this shirts. I just hope the quality stays the same.

Not even close to the quality of the original American Apparel. I have American Apparel shirts that are 15 years old and they look and feel like they did the day I bought them. The tag on these say GILDAN so I’m guessing they acquired American Apparel and selling GILDAN quality shirts under the AA name. There was a reason people would pay $20 for a single plain T-shirt by American Apparel. QUALITY!
That being said these shirts DO fit like the original AA shirts. I just hope they make it through more than one wash.

I owned this shirt previously from years ago and when these came their material was much thinner even though they were the same shirt. In these my nipples often poke through and my skin can be seen underneath. When layered this shirt is okay, but without anything to cover up, this shirt can be embarrassing.

In the past, I my favorite t-shirts have been those printed on American Apparel’s blend. When I needed to purchase some new shirts, AA was the first brand I thought of. In spite of other reviews that mentioned diminished quality and other issues, I had no issues with my t-shirts. They were new in the packaging and as I expected them, and had a good fit. They are the most comfortable t-shirts for everyday wear in my opinion. Highly recommended.

Ive tried a lot of cheaper shirts over the last 3 years looking for the right everyday inexpensive shirt. This has become my favorite. I am 6 foot 182 pounds athletic body and the large is perfect. A little more slim which is preferred for me but still room since its a large. Length and sleeve length perfect in between size. I think this cut is really good overall. Plus shirt looks quality so in my opinion It could be simply worn the the beach or with nicer shoes and jeans to a restaurant. Ive washed them twice on normal heat which I don’t normally do but wanted to see how much they shrink. Not much shrinking so pretty impressed. With many colors and for $6-$10 this is my new go to shirt.

Look, I don’t know why some of the other reviews claim these American Apparel 50/50 shirts either aren’t the real thing or aren’t the same original quality. I’ve been wearing American Apparel clothing for over 13yrs and these shirts are 100% legit/authentic and are absolutely the same soft, comfortable, long lasting high quality t-shirts….period. I’ve purchased 4 different colors so far and have been beyond stoked. I am 6ft 205lbs with athletic build and purchased these shirts in an XL and they fit perfect. Machine wash cold and dry on delicate/wool/super low and they will last forever.

The medium shirts fit just like I thought they would. However, two of the past four 50/50 shirts I’ve purchased the thread near the bottom comes undone. Brand new never washed. I am not one to gripe because these are inexpensive shirts. So I just cut the sleeves off of them and now have two 50/50 shirts for the gym : )
If this happens again, I’ll stop buying these.
Otherwise very nice lightweight shirts.
