It was kinda unfortunate to see the whole thing fall apart. At least some players got new opportunities from it. I went to a game. I enjoyed it immensely. Summer wooden bat baseball is great. There’s also been an explosion of summer soccer teams and leagues in the US with that similar pro-style-but-amateur setting for college players to stay sharp in the off-season.

There are actually a few leagues like that. It’s mostly for Awesome XFL T-Shirt college players to keep playing during the summer and you have to be invited first. There are but the cape cod league is the best of the best. It isn’t abnormal for scouts of every team to be at a game. A bunch of my teammates and coaches have played there, one was teammates with Jacoby Ellsbury back in the day. You are absolutely correct. Pitcher scouts are easy to pick out, they always have that speed radar gun haha. I’ve met scouts from Oakland A’s, Yankees, Red Sox, Cardinals, etc.

Cincinnati has a ton of historical and Awesome XFL T-Shirt cultural institutions and not even a third of the blight and rust that Cleveland has. Columbus feels sterile and boring but isn’t really a bad city. I didn’t realize how regional they really are. When I was in Raleigh some years back I asked the dude for a couple of hot n spices. And he was like what is that. And I was like. It’s a spicy chicken sandwich and it costs a dollar. They didn’t have them. Was disappointed.
