My son is in a public elementary school and goes to bible class one day a week during lunchtime. He gets bussed over to a nearby church with other kids, they have lunch and have some bible stories read to them, and get bussed back. Busses are provided by the church and just work with the school to make sure the kids leave and come back safely. Other kids go to their local Catholic church after school for CCD classes/afterschool programs. The church has busses come and get those kids after school.
